Infringement Policy

At Room Rental Agreement, we are committed to protecting and respecting the intellectual property rights of others, and we expect the same from the individuals and entities that engage with our content and services. Our Infringement Policy is designed to address any concerns related to copyright, trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights, ensuring that we act promptly and effectively to mitigate any issues that may arise. If you believe that your work has been copied or used in a way that constitutes infringement on our website, we encourage you to reach out to us. By doing so, you play a vital role in helping us maintain the integrity and legality of our content.

Notice of Alleged Infringement

If you are the copyright or intellectual property owner (or authorized to act on the owner's behalf) and you believe that your work has been used or replicated in a manner that infringes upon your rights, we urge you to send us a detailed notice of alleged infringement. Such notices should be directed to our dedicated email address: dmca@roomrentagreement.com. To ensure a swift response and resolution, please include as much detail as possible in your notification, including evidence of ownership and a clear indication of how our use is believed to infringe upon your rights.

Content of the Notice

Your notice of alleged infringement should be clear, detailed, and must include the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted.
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Response to the Notice

Upon receiving a proper notice of alleged infringement, Room Rental Agreement will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate. This could include removing or disabling access to the material claimed to be infringing. We will also attempt to notify the party responsible for providing the allegedly infringing content, giving them an opportunity to respond. In instances where a satisfactory resolution is not immediately achievable, we may engage in further investigation or seek legal advice to ensure that our actions remain in full compliance with applicable laws protecting intellectual property rights.

Counter-Notice

If you believe that your content was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you have the right to file a counter-notice. Just as with notices of alleged infringement, counter-notices should be sent to dmca@roomrentagreement.com. Your counter-notice must be articulated coherently and contain the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the content that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed or access disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the content.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Room Rental Agreement may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement.

Room Rental Agreement is dedicated to ensuring that disputes are resolved swiftly and fairly. We firmly believe in the importance of safeguarding intellectual property rights while also respecting the rights and interests of all parties involved.
